interoperability requirements

CAHN system must support interoperability over the following interfaces

Int-Rec-001 Policy evidence​

We need to support policy evidence using interoperable data structures and transport protocols

This evidence may come from many sources including

  • device manufacture
  • device owner
  • network owner
  • third party systems

Int-Rec-002 Authentication and authorisation hooks​

We need to support interoperability of authentication and authorisation across network types and between the policy engine

Int-Rec-003 Network evidence​

We need to support interoperability network evidence between the physical routers and the policy engine

Int-Rec-004 Network management​

We need to support interoperability network management between the physical routers and the policy engine. In particular to

  • disable a device
  • manage device subnetting

Int-Rec-005 Onboarding discovery​

We need to support interoperable discover of the onboarding network and registrar between the pledge and physical router

Int-Rec-006 Network management​

We need to support interoperable provisioning of network credentials network management between the pledge and policy engine, with additional interoperable layers between the policy engine and the physical router
